LISTENING MODULE

ACADEMIC_LISTENING_MODULE Academic listening has 4 sections. Each section has 10 questions. Listening lasts about 30 minutes and students get extra 10 minutes to transfer their answers to the answer sheets. In section 1, you will listen to a conversation between two people on social needs. Section 2 contains a speech by a single person. In section 3, there is a conversation among 3 to 4 people about education, training, assignments and other educational topics. In section 4 , there is a speech by a single person on an academic subject. Questions include:- 1. Note, table, flow-chart, summary completion. 2. Map, diagram labeling 3. Matching statements with name 4. Multiple choices questions 5. Sentence completion. 6. Short answer question 7. Fill in the blanks

ACADEMIC READING

# ACADEMIC_READING_MODULE Academic reading has 3 passages with 40 questions. Passages come from books, magazines, journals, newspapers and from topics of general interest. Students get 60 minutes to do reading module and they need to transfer their answers on the answer sheets within the time as no extra time will be given to transfer answers. # Questions_types_are :- 1. Fill in the Blanks (one/two/three word/s) 2. true/false/not given 3. yes/no/not given 4. multiple choice questions 5. summary completion 6. matching sentence ending 7. sentence completion 8. headings 9. labeling a diagram 10. matching name with statement 11. matching information to paragraphs

Speaking Module

# SPEAKING_MODULE Speaking module consists an interview which lasts about 11- 14 minutes. It has  # three  parts. 1.  # INTRODUCTION :- In this part, an examiner asks general questions about yourself and a range of familiar topics, for example as hometown, family, hobbies, daily routine, work, studies. This part lasts between four and five minutes. 2.  # CUE_CARD :- In the second part, you will be given a topic. You will have one minute to prepare for the topic and you will have to speak about that topic for up to two minutes. The examiner will then ask one or two general questions on the same topic. 3.  # FOLLOW_UPS :- In the follow ups, examiner asks about some questions related to the topic given to you. Here, you get a chance to explain your point more clearly. This part lasts up to 5 minutes.

COMPOUND AND COMPLEX SENTENCE

Let's discuss the difference between  # compound  and  # complex  sentence. 1.  Compound_Sentence In a #compound sentence, there are two  # independent  clauses. (#Independent clause means a sentence which doesn't depend on other sentence to complete its sense.) # For_Example :- Everyone was busy, so i went to the market alone. so this sentence has TWO parts:- Everyone was busy I went to the market alone. and both have complete meaning and joined by conjunction "so" This is called a #Compound sentence. The independent clauses can be joined by a coordinating conjunction i.e. for, and, nor, but, or, yet and so on..... 2.  Complex_Sentence In a #Complex sentence, there is an independent, and a dependent clause. Although he was wealthy, he was still unhappy. In this sentence, Although he was wealthy, depends on other clause(he was still unhappy) , to complete its sense. this is called a #Complex sentence. 4th  # Parameter_of_Writing_Module This means a  # range_of_vocabulary  a candidate uses. A students should avoid repeating same words in task 1 and task 2. Therefore, they shouldn't use common noun, verb, adjectives, adverbs etc. look at the statement below:- More and more people are using internet nowadays. you should say:- More and More = A growing number of people = individuals, civilians, masses.... use = utilize nowadays = in the present time, Now this is your paraphrasing:-  In the present time, internet is used by a growing number of individuals. In this way, you show your range of vocabulary and correct use of different sentence structure.
