  1. All at sea:- (puzzled) I was all at sea in the exam.
  2. By fits and start:- (irregularly) I read books by fits and start.
  3. To hit the sack:- (go to bed) I hit the sack at 9.  
  4. Fair and Square:- (Honest) Mohan is fair and square in his dealings.
  5. To add fuel to fire:- (To make the situation worse) You should not add fuel to the fire.
