FOUR PARAMETERS OF WRITING MODULE IN IELTS

HOW THE WRITING IS ASSESSED IN IELTS

There are FOUR parameters of writing and speaking module. In this article, You are going to be introduced with the writing module's parameters. However, only a single parameter will be discussed every time to provide you a deep knowledge of every parameter so that you could become able to grasp it easily. The first parameter is....⇓

1.  Task Achievement: Task achievement is also known as Task response. It means you need to give answers to all the questions asked in Task 1 and Task 2. Read the statement below. 

        Many people, nowadays, are using electronic gadgets. What problems does it cause and          how can we deal with it?

Now, in this essay, some students start writing and don't even read the statement deeply. They just start by describing the reasons instead of effects (problems) which is the major reason of band deduction as students don't mention what has been asked. The major point here is to answer what they have asked to You which is know as Task achievement.  Read the second statement:-

Young people today learn more from the internet and television than they do from teachers.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In this essay, students must make it clear whether they agree or disagree. If checker is not satisfied with your opinion which means you are unable to give you CLEAR opinion, then you are more likely to have less BAND SCORE.

So, students,now you should analyze yourself if you are also making this mistake like other students. Improve your parameter of Task Achievement.
